What a Week 2 - Week 3
I still haven't figured out how to make myself do this in a timely way, but it's still kind of the weekend here, so it's fine.
Week ending 24 January
All has been well at home. We prepared for a major snowstorm, but the actual output where I live has been manageable. I'm hoping for a Wednesday return to school for the kids, but so far I'm not in a rush to get rid of them.
Work was steady. I had one patient that was consistent through my string of shifts and I got to watch them improve over time. I've speculated that I don't care for critical care as much as emergency medicine, but really I enjoy each of them on their own. It only gets problematic when I'm trying to do both at once, trying to balance importance and acuity against urgency and speed.
I've managed to make a little bit of headway on my drug dosing project. I've put the FDA API SPL XML parsing alphabet soup on the shelf for now. I found math.js, which will save me using separate libraries for units and math. That means I can dive in on getting the calculations right and have a useful app by mocking the drug data manually. I've recently moved my desk and need to fix a couple of things before I get busy on this, but look for more updates.
Also the "submit a correction" link in the footer is broken. It'll take you to the right repo, wrong file. I'll get to it.
